  • Where to order from?

I see there's a special pre-order price offer on the new Horizon stuff.

Do I qualify for this discount if I order through my local supplier as usual (Sample Division)?
Or must I order from the VSL site directly?

    Regards - Colin

  • I would also like to order from Peter Alexander if possible.

  • As far as I'm informed all our distributors are preparing their offerings at the moment. Our introducery discount should be available at each distributor.

    best wishes

    Hah! Poor baby!

For the record, most nights, err... mornings, with a 9-hour time difference, I'm going to bed while you're getting ready to have lunch! We have LOTS of Vienna hours over here!!! [H]

  • peter, some kind of time shifting must happen to certain people, so finally the difference keeps the same [;)]

  • Man you guys. I was talking to Herb. But that's cool that everyone is a vampire. As a musician/composer I have always been a 9 to 5 kind of guy. 9pm to 5am that is.

Oh you guessed my secret! I have SX 2.01 which helps my time stretching. Well, off for the steak (I hate the other kind!).

  • While we're on the subject of this thread, I'll take a moment to give credit where credit is due. After my initial query in this forum, I had given up hope and concluded that buying into VSL was too large a leap, that it wouldn't necessarily be able to meet my acoustic articulation requirements. I had called Truespec on a whim about something unrelated to sampled instruments, and got onto the subject or orchestral samples before the call ended. I can't describe the breadth of experience and knowledge about the field which Peter brought to that call! He went far out of his way to explore what I was trying to achieve, spent a bunch of time without getting anything out of it personally, or leaning on me to do business with him then or in the future. He was just being an incredibly decent guy.

Previously, my best dealer experience was a local PC vendor who would build amazingly high performance systems for me -- but I had to spec every last component. Dealers who TRULY know the field down to the last particle basically don't exist.

I still can't believe the phenomenal grasp of the medium and the field which Peter was able to leverage for me when I most needed it. He and Caroline are wonderful people, and their company is a precious rarity. I was pleased to be able to surprise them by purchasing the VSL Complete 1st Edition from them the following week, and they're the first company I call when I'm looking for a product. They have no comparison in my 25+ yrs of doing business with dealers.

Thanks Peter! I would have missed out on VSL and sample-based composing without you!
