  • How much is the VIP-Price fpr the HORIZON Series?

    Hi,
I just wondered when I have seen that Horizon owners are members of the VIP program. But I couldn't find any information about already existing VIP-Members.
So how much do we (VIP-members) have to spend into the whole kind of thing to get this wonderful library?

    Compliments.
    Hans-Peter.

  • hans-peter, there is an upgrade path from opus 1 to the pro edition, so this is another VIP price, but there is no *upgrade path* from say first edition strings to solo strings, although registered users of the pro edition will get a VIP price for solo strings, since they have half of the samples already

and remember: only a CRAY can run an endless loop in just three seconds.
  • I have the PRO Edition and am intrigued by the Horizon series. Many of these releases, notably the Solo Strings and Mallets, have samples common to the PRO Edition. But there's no published 'upgrade' price for us Pro users. So I'm a bit in the dark about the link between Pro and Horizon. Perhaps VSL are negotiating with distributors like Time and Space...?

  • There are two links between the Horizon Series and the Pro Edition.

    1. Users of the Complete Orchestral Package Pro Edition will be eligible to purchase the Solo Strings for the reduced VIP price of about US-$/EUR 145.00

    2. Users of the Opus 1 Orchestra can upgrade to the Complete Orchestral Pro Edition for about US-$/EUR 4590.00

Three Horizon Series products contain samples from the Pro Edition: Opus 1 and Mallets are completely taken from the Pro Edition. The Solo Strings' violin and cello are taken from the Pro Edition, the viola and double-bass are completely new.

    All the best, Martin

  • The prices are, I assume, approximate at the moment. Will they soon be announced formally?

  • I am a First Edition owner looking to pay a VIP upgrade price to buy the sounds not found in my First Edition in the OPUS 1. I estimate it's value at about 20% samples we won't have once we recieve our FREE Update DVD. So I'd like to buy the OPUS 1 for $198 please.

And please do this right away so I can place my order and be at teh top of the back-order list.

    Thanks,
    Evan Evans

P.S. And please create a chart noting the different instruments found in the different libraries such as this:
