    How do i create this sound within VSL - is there likely to be muted samples for strings within the pro or performance sets?

    The pro edition has a huge amount of con sord strings, but (to my knowledge) no sul tasto samples. There is one ppp effect though (check the new string demos) that may give you the sound you're looking for. I found it to be quite stunning.

    Flautando - a sustained note played at an extreme piano level - is more or less beyond technical possibilities (in Sample production), but it was a heart's desire of Thomas J. Bergersen...
