  • A little reequest for the people with performance tools

Would one of you be so kind as to make a small passage... 4-6 notes with the legato tool, but with nothing else.

I want to hear how good the legato is, but its hard to judge the demo's due to loads of other instruments, and not knowing what to listen for.

So if someone would make a simple solo legato performance mp3, preferably with different instruments I would be really appreciative.

  • *bump*

  • The upcoming Pro Edition demos will show a lot of pure performance legato examples of different solo instruments.

    Coming soon

    best wishes

  • Patriarch,

I think you'd get much further in your assessment if you made arrangements for a demo with an authorized dealer near you. All of your questions are good and valid, but all the answers require sound.

If you're in the greater LA area, contact us. Otherwise, for the rest of the nation, contact ILIO at www.ilio.com to find a dealer who can give you a competent demo and really answer your questions better than we can online here.

  • Problem is that im from Denmark, Europe... and the major music dealer here dosent even have it!... so im screwed

  • A solo passage of even 4-6 note will tell you this much: IT SOUNDS REAL!!!

What's your email? I'll send you and mp3 or two (REAL SHORT ONES!!)

  • A very busy and successful composer in Hollywood takes the time to send mp3's to a fellow composer in Denmark. Thats great. The world is good.

  • Right you are! Kudos to Rob - remember 'what goes around comes around' - best ongoing success to you.

  • Hi Patriarch,

I am sending you three demos: flute, clarinet and horns (the horn one is especially amazing example of the realism of the Vienna Library legato. You can really hear what's IN BETWEEN the notes, simply by playing whatever you like). In fact all of these patches are nothing short of revolutionary and amazing.

Remember these demos are simply me noodling around, each one was recorded in real time, with no editing. Each demo you hear took as long to make as it takes to listen to, LITERALLY!! They are one midi track only, no layering of extra instruments. I think they sound totally real. There is no reverb or extra editing at all: simply played lines and that is it. Very simple to use, in other words!

Take a listen to all three (they are each being emailed seperately). Please let me know, and the Vienna forum online, what you think!
