I see in Herb's midi example 6 I believe that he used the Ghost key function to switch between Violin F legato and Violin F Port Legato? How does the Ghost key function work? In the Example was this switching in real-time? If anyone can help it would be much appreciated! Thanks!

Ghost Key Function?

The ghost function is no realtime function (at the moment).
It gives you the oppertunity to play a starting note from a different miditrack.
For example if you want to start a legato phrase wit a sforzato, or a diminuendo or crescendo, you can combine the legato line with this starting notes.
The best workflow is: play the whole phrase with the legato miditrack.
If you want to alter the starting note, press the ghost function key before the first note starts. You can do this in a second recording step, or simply add it directly in an key or score editor.
Than you can copy the first note to this second miditrack, or simply play the starting note once again.
The ghost function key forces the tool not play the first note of a legato line, it simply mutes this starting note, but plays the second note with the right legato connection to the (muted) first note.
It's just an option to make your legato programming more flexible.
