    Sorry to put this message here. It wasn't exactly clear where I could go for product support, via email or otherwise.

    I may have inadvertantly scratched one of my DVDs. I have a front loading, slot only DVD-Rom. (Pionner 106s), well, I wasn't looking when I reached down to insert the Flute and 'Trumpet in C' Performance DVD, but I managed to "insert" the disc BETWEEN my DVD-ROM Drive and my CD-RW drive (physically, in a tiny slot between two hardware devices) It disappeared into my computer, not to be seen or gotten.

    Needless to say, I had to open up my box and fish my DVD out with screw driver, etc. (Stupid user error if ever there was one.) I've built my own machine, so it's no big deal opening it up...but I'd rather install more RAM than do this. Coincidently, yes, I made the two drives closer together so I can't do this again.

    Anyhow, there is a tiny, but very visable scratch on this disk, and trying to off load some files, my computer is complaining of I/O errros when it comes to two files. The rest of the disc is fine. I'm assuming that scratch is the culprit.

    I need specifically these:
    21 TrC_PERF-REP_leg_4-60.gig
    25 TrC_PERF-REP_port_8-75.gig

    Is there anyway I can make arrangements with someone here to get a copy of those two files? (or through ILIO?)

    Hopefully you'll get a REAL solution but here's a crazy tip for you and anyone else.

    I ordered a DVD from Amazon.com and it must have come loose in the box on the way. When I opened the sealed packaging, it had a bad scratch. Sure enough, it stopped playing and froze my DVD player.

    I decided to try something whacky, knowing that the data is deep in the disc and that only the plastic coating was damaged. I took some furniture polish, sprayed the DVD, and gently kept polishing it until the polish had just about filled the scratch.

    Sure enough, when put back in the DVD player, the disc played past the scratch!! It did jump a frame or 2, and obviously this is unacceptable fro a data DVD.

    Oh yes....I had written to Amazon and told them about the entire story, scratch, polish and all. They sent me a new DVD, so a friend got a free copy.
