My own collection of samples is quite a conglomeration of different sources. As a result, I've had to go through and make a specific file-naming scheme of my own... not TOO different from VSLs, but some significant ones. My naming scheme makes it easier to organize and to use QuickSearch to find things.
In some libraries, it's a Bad Idea to rename when you consider the .art updates and such. Is this the case here with VSL?
I've already renamed a few files of VSLs, and not that I've had any little file updates to deal with, but it seems to be good and working for me now - am I painting myself into a corner for future releases/updates?
Note: I'm not changing any of the instruments or groups or sample names, just the file name.
All in all - is this OK?
