    When I try to load a VSL instrument, Gigastudio is busy for 10 minutes before it is actually loaded, the size of the instrument does not really matter in this case.
    It makes no difference if 'm loading a group of instruments or a single instruments out of the group.


    I'm loading the VSL samples from a dedicated 120Gig Maxtor drive on an Athlon 1400 with 512 MB. Windows Millennium and RME Hammerfall 3x Adat

    try defragmenting your drive.

    I hear there are problems like this with XP. this isn't library specific, but a Memory Management issue with XP, and Giga.

    King is absolutely right, its a Gigastudio Memory Management problem.

    I tested this issue in rebooting the computer after a long loading gigfile.
    Than I reloaded the same gigfile without any problems in a few seconds.
