  • Alternation Tool Question

In the manual of the Alternation tool is being said "for now we work on just port 1". About multiple ports nothing is said anymore.
When I want to use the Alternation Tool on all 4 ports, is it possible to run 4 instances of the tool at the same time? Or does it work differently.

    Geert.

  • does someone know this?

  • Yes, it would be great if someone who knows could reply.

I've had varied success running multiple instances of the tool. When I reload a saved file with the tool, it doesn't seem to want to keep my port settings.

Ideally, if the tool would handle 4 ports like MaestroTools for Gigastrings, that would be great.

please consider: you need to load an amount of 200-300 MB data to use the tool on 1 channel of 1 port - assuming you use 16 channels this means
a load of about 4 GB, which no operating-system (excluded windows 2000 advanced server) can handle ...

so this seems not to make much sense for the current state of technology
besides that, as you pointed out, you will be able to launch multiple instances of the tool
