  • Special Edition Demo Page

The Special Edition [:D]  video demos featuring the piece by Christian Kardeis are absolutely superb -I've learned more by watching those 3 videos a couple of times than I have in about 2 years reading books/articles etc!!

I'd like to be able to download them, but when clicking on the link an 'under construction' page appears, whereas the Quickstart guides are downloadable. There seems to be a problem with the older videos too - when clicking on the download button, they start to play instead of giving the download dialogue.

Any chance of making them available asap? ...please.[;)]

    Many thanks,

    John

  • Hi John,

thanks for the kind feedback [:)]

I guess you are on OS X, please try a rightclick (Ctrl-Click) on the download button and choose "Save link as...", this should work to download the videos!

    Best,

     Paul

Hi Paul, and thanks for that very quick response!

Actually I'm on XP - but Ive tried the right click on the download button - all I get is the option to save "VSL_Special_Edition_Demo1_01" as an html document and not the video itself.

It's the same whether I'm trying the Windows Media link or the Quicktime link.

It's only a small problem - I can watch it OK on this computer but I'd like to transfer it to the music machine upstairs which isn't online.

On the feedback... credit where it's due! These short videos are a real godsend to me - the mixing element is very clear and easy to follow and the explanation of Christian's workflow is extremely helpful too. I know there are many tutorials on the handling of the VI interface on the site but  I find the SE videos concise and to the point. Well done guys & full marks!!

    Regards,

     John
