  • Windows 64b with 16gb and VI via FXteleport

I did a couple of searches but couldn't find a definitive answer, therefor I post my question.

It it possible to use a slave computer with W64 and 16Gb ram via FX-teleport?

or do I need a 64bit VI interface?

    Greets,
    Geert.

  • You can use about 3.9GB of RAM with FXT. In order to use more the VI player would have to be 64bit.

I'm sure that it is in the pipeline, as the VI player is the only thing in my setup that is lagging behind technological advances (that have actually been around for a few years now!). As to when it will appear is anyone's guess. [:(]

  • As an aside to all that I seem to remember (30th June) that Golem promised to open a thread with 64bit news. Still waiting........

Rob, I have a theory that many software developers are on a 64bit go-slow to avoid upsetting Mac users, who can't use a 64bit application.

    Daryl,

A few words about what is probably right on (with your comments). Hope the 'spam filter' doesn't change what I write -
