Sorry if this is technically off topic, but does anyone know if it is possible and how to obtain film scores for study (not performance parts, just full scores)? I'm particularly interested in Jerry Goldsmith and Hans Zimmer. Thanks!

Obtaining Film Scores
-
I was once able to get copies of some cues, for study purposes only, from Sony Pictures. This is what I did: called the studio's main number and asked for the music archive or music services. I got bounced around a bit, but eventually ended up in the music library. They made copies of the cues I wanted, on big giant score paper - they were the conductor's scores -- but it was pricey because the guy doing the actual copying was union. SO for the 12-ish minutes of cues that I got, it ran about $250. I don't know that all the studios are so willing to do that stuff, but it's worth a try if you call around to them.
