  • Some more new music (Updated 1st track)

Just have a few more tracks to share - Feel free to comment on it.

    1. MA Orchestral - I am currently working on this. Its just the introduction - its going to be a 6 minute long piece.

    2. KCIS Credits - This is a fun Over the Top track with cool beats etc - Its the end credits of an animation I recently worked on.

    3. Circus Theme - This is something from a project I worked on some time back. This piece is not mixed properly and the instruments have not been positioned in Altiverb.

Hope you guys will like it! Have fun.

    Tanuj.

  • Tanuj,

If you can add some dimension I think it would help:
Strings closest, then Winds, then Brass, than Percussion.

Most people use a convolution reverbd like Altiverb to do this. Beat Kaufman has a tutorial on his website that shows how (I think)

I think the strings, (particularly the cellos at the beginning) could come up and be bigger in the mix which will balance things better. Most important is that the strings sound like they're in front of the other instruments.

Nice writing showing a lot of taste and talent.

  • Sounds better for sure Tanuj. Do you have a close altiverb, medium distance, and far? Also are you narrowing the stereo field of the instruments that are behind the strings? You can use the plugin S1 from Waves for this and it's very good.

You're writing is excellent and the new material on your piece at the end is terrific. My sound has always been my weakness so I have had people help me and learned a lot from them. If you experiment and get a top notch sound you will be a force to be reckoned with.
