  • Want more articulations (what do I need?)

    Hello.

I have the Special Edition now, without the Extended. What do I need to look for in order to acquire instruments with more articulations. For example, flutter-tonguing, and so on. I would like to be able to work with the Engine that comes with SE.

    Thanks.

    Dennis

  • look for lots of this: $$$

and get Symphonic Cube instruments. You can buy, for example woodwinds I STANDARD and then buy oboe EXTENDED instead of buying the entire woodwinds EXTENDED

That's the only way to get the more random articulations like fluttering.

  • I wasn't aware till now that you can purchase extended versions of single instruments. Thanks for the tip! This is a great saver for those who don't need the extended version of a whole collection.

I didn't know that either! [[:|]] Is it the same for other VI like Appassionat etc..?

  • noope, you can't buy violins apassionata separate from the other string sections. See, when you go to the symhponic cube section there's a button that says "EXTENDED INSTRUMENTS" right under "SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS" when you click on any library

    check that out.

  • I see what they've done - with the first ten Vienna Instruments (listed under 'Vienna Instruments I' on this site) you can buy extended versions of individual instruments (as Elan says, look under 'EXTENDED INSTRUMENTS' in each collection.) With the newer VI's ('Vienna Instruments II', which include Appassionata Strings) you can't do that. Maybe they'll introduce it later . . .

  • i think herb mentioned it somewhen ... this option has not been continued for the VIs 11 and higher because the requests for single instrument licenses have been rather rare and we had to recognize that scanning of licenses costs significant startup time. it can also not been added later.

and remember: only a CRAY can run an endless loop in just three seconds.
  • Thanks guys! So that means i can get the VI solo strings standard eidtion and buy only the ''licence'' for the violins extended. [H]
