  • Newby needs help with vsl solo strings standard

    Hi out there,

as i am quite new to vsl - libary as much as the forum - it would be nice, if anybody can help me with this question:

the solo strings are definetly amazing, but iam searching for non-vibrato sounds, and didnt really find them in the standard version... for no i using mostly the level 1 presets. do i have to built them manually? if so: somebody has good tips to create a good non-vibrato-patch?

    have a good day

  • Hi Markus. The no-vibrato patches are in the extended version, you'd need to buy that to create a good non-vibrato matrix. (The Vienna Instrument doesn't let you create your own patches, you can create only matrices and presets.)

  • hi conquer,

    thanks for your quick reply.
so then it seems i have to do a bit more sad (or irsh) scores, before i buy the extended library [:D]

about patches... yes new names... they always get mixed in my head [:)]

are there any download-links for presets or matrix? it would be helpful to have good presets to start learning about all possibilities, the vsl has..

  • Hi Markus. You can download VI manuals from the User Area of this site - log in using your e-mail address and password then look under Vienna Instruments > Manuals. The patches, matrices and presets for each instrument are all listed, with Standard (Level 1) marked in blue and Extended (Level 2) marked in red. It's a nice way to get an overview of the contents and start getting to grips with all the different patch names!

  • yes thanks..

i all so find that link by reading some of the articles in this forum.. getting better and better with the vsl [:)]...
but looking to all the possibilities with the extended library, i thing this will be my next invest [:)]
