  • Upgrade Path from Special Edition?

    Hi All,

Long time. Anyway, I'm considering the Vienna Instruments Special Edition because there seems to be a quite good deal since I own First Edition. I'm wondering however if there will be any kind of an upgrade path to this? I've seen the upgrade path from the Pro & Horizon series, but since Special Edition shares samples with other collections I believe it should also qualify for a place in your discount calculator? Specifically, I want to eventually own the full content on Chamber Strings and Special Edition does not offer that. Would I have to pay for the same samples twice to get the full content?

I apologize if this question has been asked before. If it has, please direct me instead to your reply.

    All the Best,

    Frederick Russ

EDIT: I went ahead and bought it. Hopefully there will be some kind of upgrade path for those wanting full content. We'll see.

  • Hello Frederick,

the Special Edition doesn´t offer an upgrade path, that is one of the reason why it is so affordable [:)]

There are 28 instruments or sections included, and the discount would make the upgrade paths very complicated for both our dealers and ouselves.

This question has indeed been asked a lot of times before [:)]

    Thanks for your understanding!

    Best,

    Paul

  • Frederick, I think that Vienna SE is still worth the money, especially if you get both standard and extended libs. I'm having a ball with mine and while I really enjoy the Saxophones I that I got yesterday from the blow-out sale, I much prefer the Vienna player as opposed to the Kontakt engine. Much more elegant design and easier to get around on.
