Hi.
I was trying to reproduce the first bars of Bartok Concerto for orchestra: cellos and double basse have a simple legato phrase that begins with these three ascending notes: c2# - f2# - b2
I am using VI SE, Orchestral String - VC 8 legato patch. Notes are overlapping, so legato is working.
The problem is that the interval c2# - f2# sounds bad because the f# is suddenly too strong, even if the velocity is very low. I also tried with Velocity Xfade, same problem. And it only happens with this interval, because if I play c# - e# for example the passage is smooth, no problem. It seems that the low velocity f# sample is loud by itself?
I would put an audio example of the two cases (c#-f# and c#-e# intervals) but I don't now how to insert an audio excerpt.
By the way, the same thing happens with the DB legato patch, only it happens in the interval f#1-b1.
Thanks
Paolo
