These are rather *little* things that I've wondered about, among many. For now, I'll stick with questions regarding the bassoons.
Question 1:
'13 BA_sus_noVib': I've always found it a bit of a struggle when narrowing the stereo width of this patch because it's reading right of center even on the Vi console. It sits quite differently than, for example, '12 BA_sus_Vibe-progr'. I get a pretty close match, but am still not quite nailing it.
--- Is it just my system or do others notice '13 BA_sus_noVib' is reading just right of center?
Question 2:
'01 BA_staccato' is a pretty long staccato. In cell edit, I was able to raise the DEC slider and lower the SUS slider to approximate an honest secco, but it makes the patch sound unrealistic-- almost cartoonish. I've also tried using the REL slider in the PERFORM menu with no success.
---Any suggestions on how to shorten '01 BA_staccato' without wrecking the integrity of the patch?
These are not complaints-- only inquiries in pursuit of ways to improve programming techniques.
Thanks.
