  • Duplicate (double) samples

Recently, due to change of hard disk I have reinstalled all my VSL samples and I have noticed that, as I have Horizon Opus 1/2 and Solo strings, there are some samples that are equal in size, same name but different code, that I imagine are duplicate in both Opus and Solo Strings.

I have Vienna Solo Strings VI extended and I'm waiting for Special Edition Extended VI. Are there duplicate samples as well? Can you tell the codes so that I don't waste time and disk space?
    Thank you.

  • a rough calculation makes me assume there are 1450 samples in opus 2 from the solo strings (some release samples may add to this number) and using the EXS manager you could get rid of one set ...

however there is no option to do something similar with the vienna instruments, because the sample data is specially packed and compressed there, so *detaching* single samples from this blocks is not possible (technically speaking: preload buffers would get totally confused)
