  • Controlling notes

    Hi

I am new to vienna and so I am still trying to find my way about. So please excuse my simple questions!!! [:O]ops:

    1) I want to play a long note that cres then dim? How do I do that in vienna? I know that I can use midi volume, but I want the note to get more intense as the volume builds? In my old sample libraries I used the mod wheel, but vienna uses the mod wheel to change articulations?

    2) What does the vel crossfade do? Does setting this override the on velocity of my keyboard presses?

I would really appreciate any help with these questions, pleasepardon my stupidity! [*-)]

    Hello Simsy,

the Velocity Xfade is the key [:)]

We have prepared some Video Tutorials for the most crucial features of the Vienna Instruments here. You´ll at least want to take a look at "Velocity Xfade - on the fly"....

As soon as you activate Vel Xfade and assign any MIDI controller - the Velocity Xfade overrides your played velocity on the keyboard.

    Best,

    Paul
