    Is there a place in the online VSL community where users have uploaded useful and interesting new matrices for others to share?

    not yet - but i'll take the opportunity to RFC (request for comments) which information to such a file would be neccessary or desirable.
    - related collection(s) + standard or extended library (where applicable)
    - structure of articulations in matrix + controllers designated to be used
    - advantages/disadvantages + occasions where useful
    - a certain naming convention + versioning
    - a rating, upload and download restricted to registered libraries
