    I don't actually have one of these myself, but I'm hearing incredible reports from those who do have them. The reviews of these drives have been stellar.

    Another option to consider is eSATA

    I had constant problems with Firewire drives (drives crashing/firewire bridge burning out/system hangs etc) and I opted for the Sonnet card which gives you access to external SATA drives. I have 4 drives in an enclosure which I use for VI samples as well as backups.

    This sysytem is rock solid and FAST and has given me 99% perfect preformance for over a year.

    Just a suggestion....

    Honestly : here in my city you can only found a firewire disks from one "renomed" manufacturer ( and probabily You know what i mean ).That's incredible : i live in a city of million people. But on 5 disks i have 2 broken during the work and replaced in 2 months and one never repaired. So i am sick . I think G-Tech is a very good choice. Many thanks and sorry for my "outing".
