    Dears all,
    recently i have purchased a Macbook pro for VSL running system.
    The Mac has arrived not journaled ( Internal HD ) .
    Must i turn it on ?

    Wow the macbook pro is fastly enough for running many V.I. instances.

    Hi Anton

    Journalling is not recommended for audio drives as it can impair performance, however it is supposed to offer extra protestion to your directory structure should there be a problem during the moment a file is being written to the drive.

    For this reason I use journalling on my system drive but not on any audio drives. If you are going to work with a single drive I suggest you try it with journalling on and see if the performance meets your expectations.
