    Hey everyone,

    First I just want to congratulate the VSL guys on such a wonderful product. I still haven't purchased the cube but plan on doing so in a day or two. I am curious as to whether the 'Universal Mode' applies to the Standard Edition cube or is it strictly for the extended edition patches?

    Hi Sevaels,

    the "Perf-Universal" Matrix is a feature of the Extended Libraries. It combines several Interval Performances (e.g. Chamber Strings: slow and medium legato, marcato, and spiccato), where the articulation is selected with the modwheel and the speed is determined by playing speed; note repetitions are included in the patches. However, the Standard Libraries also contain speed-controlled Interval Perfs, only with less articulations (Chamber Strings: slow and medium legato, portamento).
