  • Violin section is drunk at recording session

Hmm. Just loaded up the Vl-14_mu_perf_legato patch. What a racket. The violins are slipping and sliding around all over the place. Actually it sounds like an incorrectly named sul patch (although strictly speaking VSL has got this wrong as well, as there is no need for portamento in sul violin patches, except in cases where the interval jumped is more than a perfect 4th). Is this a known problem, and can it be fixed please, as this patch is unusable on its own?

  • Sounds like the portamentos are playing - try hitting one of the A/B switch keys for the straight legatos.

  • There is no A/B switch unfortunately.

  • That's how this patch sounds.
I prefer a simple layering of these two patches, which gives me the most versatile sounds for muted legato strings (for louder velocities):

    11 VI-14_mu_perf-legato + 12 VI-14_mu_sus_Vib_fA_auto

Without being insulting, my I ask why? No orchetra in the world plays legato lioke this, so it is really confusing not to be able to get a legato muyted section sound without other layering.
