  • A Logic C0 is a VI C1!!! How can I change that?

I could not figure out an octave switch or similar like there was in the performance tool.
But it´s kind of annoying, that if Logic plays a C0, VI is getting a C1.
I just want a keyswitch to be at the right position on my Master-Keyboard without needing to transpose my keyboard.
Can I change that somewhere? Why is that? Is it a Logic intern problem?

    Soooo many questions!!!

  • There are various "ideas" of what Middle C is. Without going into the history, suffice it to say that the International Standard is C4. Logic gets this wrong (as does Cubase and Sonar), and even though there are various clunky ways to work round this, I think that it is generally considered easier just to accept things as they are, and perhaps to petition the sequencer manufacturer to enable a user preference to be set.

  • Preferences / Display / Display Middle C as [C4 Roland] [C3 Yamaha].

Note that as of 7.1.1, the keyboards in Environment will not change. But most other displays will follow the preference you set.

  • That helped. Thank you!
