    Hi, the search function does not work...so I don't know if there is even a post for this.

    Can I use the Vienna Key on an USB HUb? Because I want to buy a iMac and it has only 3 usb ports and usb ports are importend for dongles, midi interfaces etc.

    I had trouble with the Vienna Key in hubs, both powered and unpowered. What I've done was to dedicate one port to the Vienna Key, and then use a powered hub for other USB devices (printers, iLok keys, etc.).

    Since moving to the MacPro, the Vienna Key works fine from the keyboard's USB port. However, when updating authorizations with Syncrosoft. I remove all other USB devices except for the keyboard and mouse, then plug the Vienna Key directly into the computer itself.

    Works fine for me. I have it plugged into one of the USB ports on my external Newer Technologies drive which has a built in hub.

    I have four dongles on one hub w/o dedicated power-supply (2* Synchrosoft, 1*iLok, 1*WiBu-Key), and apart from some iLok-related glitches I have encountered no problems at all.

    ... this is for Windows 2000/XP.
