  • VI Keyboard - colors?

Would'nt it be nice to have the VI's keyboard be color coded?

That way you can see at a glance where samples are located, instrument range,
where keyswitches are located, maybe even use a dot that appears on the depressed key showing what velocity the key was struck with.

Last night I loaded a bunch of purcussion patches and had no idea where/how the samples were laid out and arranged unless I played every note or launched the PDF manual.

What do the rest of you think?

    Thanks,
    David

  • I think it would be good to see which keys have samples mapped, like in GigaStudio. As you say, it saves a bit of time poking about on the keyboard trying to find them, and it's particularly useful in percussion patches where there are gaps between the samples.

  • I'll vote for that too.
In addition, it would be great to see exactly where the keyswitch notes are, in a different colour.
