Hi,
I've just installed my new Vienna Cube and very happy with it, but have a couple of questions. Firstly, the sounds are playing fine generally and sound amazing, but I am getting some audible glitching when streaming more than a few instances of VI. Initially I thought that VSL was just caching the sounds on first playback, but the glitching continues no matter how many times I stream the sequence. I'm running Cube as an AU in Logic in a G5 Dual 2gHz with 2.5gig Ram and the sounds are streaming from 5 SATA drives running in parallel. Logic's performance meter shows that disk activity is low, but the processor meter is close to peaking. Is there any way of reducing the strain on the processor (e.g. more Ram)?
My second question is with regard to the extended instruments that I believe I can use on a time-limited demo. I was wondering if there was any way of identifying which instruments I have permanent use of and which are temporary, as I'm concerned about working on a project, accidentally using the extended set and then finding that I can't use these in my project in a few weeks time.
My final question is just to check that I've installed all of the samples properly, as I'm slightly concerned that the sample folder numbers run from 1 to 86, but there are gaps in the numbering (e.g. I have folders 1-4 but don't have any folders numbered 5-9). Is this correct?
Thanks in advance,
Vische
