  • Vienna key ?

    Hi everyone !

I bought a license of GVI few weeks ago, which is using a syncrosoft usb key.
I'm about to buy "Appassionata Strings" standard and extended library and I wonder if I could use my GVI's key with Appassionata Strings, or if I must buy a new one.

As soon as I buy my Vienna Instrument, I should register my license through both VSL and syncrosoft's web sites (if I understood well). But the thing is I actualy have a computer with dual boot; the first partition is XP SP2 connected to the net (to do anything except music), and the second is just to make music "safely", so without any internet connection. Could you please tell the best way to register my key, knowing that I'll use the library into my 2nd partition ?

    Thanks in advance.

  • welcome agaland, you can use any syncrosoft USB protection device to store the VSL licenses, this includes but is not limited to USB keys coming with GVI or steinberg products (just be aware older steinberg keys have only limited space to store licenses).
i've been not aware one can register a key on the syncrosoft website, we are asking you to register your key during the Vienna Instruments registration to be prepared in case of loss or damage.
