• Tutorial files thank you, and request

The VSL Tutorial files are great and help set this company apart from the rest. These tutorial files have been massively helpful in learning to use and learn how to use the VSL samples.

I want to thank the many great and talented people that have shared them with us. Your generosity and talent is without equal.

Would it be possible to request from Jay Bacal or VSL a tutorial file for one of the older pieces in the demo zone, Romeo and Juliet?

It is a wonderful piece and wonderfully crafted by Jay Bacal.

Sincerely,

• Ishtaria,

There used to be a demo MIDI file for Jay's mock-up of Romeo & Juliet. However, that demo was done before the new Vienna Instruments came out and had somewhere around 250 MIDI tracks and of course no .fxp files to load articulations. These demo files would be of little use to you now.

Those people who are new to VSL don't know how fortunate they are to have the new VI (understatement). You need to appreciate how hard Jay must have worked on that one. I'll bet with the new VI and the new string libraries he could do it much, much quicker and perhaps a bit better.

Best regards,
Jack

• The midi file alone would be a good starting point if nothing else, although as you said harder to use a full tutorial.

An excellent demo!

I completely agree with you, Jay is simply the best. I hope VSL realizes the importance of not only his work but the great tutorial file assets.

Again, great job everyone at VSL and all the demo sharers! You all are class acts.
