    is it possible in any way to switch sample cells using aftertouch?
    the vi seems not to respond to aftertouch data while controller learning

    aftertouch would be nice for playing progressive vibratos with switching between vib and non vib samples

    good question. I use an Axiom 61 that transmits aftertouch and I too would love to apply that to the VI.

    This question has been raised in the past. VSL won't / can't do after-touch. I'm probably over simplifying.

    Can you not transform aftertouch to another recognisable MIDI controller via your sequencer?

    You can certainly do this in Logic.
    Add a Transformer object which convert C-Press to Control and set the Control number to whatever suits you (avoiding obvious used no's eg 7 for volume etc)
