  • First "Special Woodwinds" demos online

I'm happy to announce our first "Special Woodwinds" demos.

Guy Bacos sent us a lyrical original composition for strings, harp and woodwinds, featuring exclusively all winds of the "Special Woodwinds" collection:
Bass flute, Oboe d'Amore, Heckelphone, Bassethorn, Contrabass clarinet

The demo description offers a time list of the woodwind performances in this piece.

Jay Bacal focused on the Basset horn and sent us an impressive excerpt of W.A.Mozarts Quintet for Basset horn and solostrings.

He also sent us his informative tutorial files, for technical reasons they will be added little later.

thanks a lot Guy and Jay!

  • Just listened to your Mozart Jay, just so well done! Very enjoyable, and I mean the solo strings as well.

  • Hats off to both Guy and Jay for beautiful, subtle work!!!

  • Great job Guy and Jay. Expertly done. Shows the new 'voices' we will now have at our disposal.

Thanks again you guys for your hard work.

(hey - you guys have the 'special brass' yet? squeeze out a short demo - without letting Herb know. Promise I won't say anything [:D] )

  • Excellent! At times it has the flavor of Bach at other times the favor of vintage Hollywood (Mancini?). I think it's safe to say that this may be the first piece to use this combination of instruments. But it works quite well. [:D]

    Best,
    Jay

  • Thanks Jay, Steve, Rod and herb.

    Jay, you forgot Debussy/Ravel [[;)]]
