release note function in legato tool

just wondering on pg 8 ( i think- its 3:30 am!) in the legeto tool manual to the release note function as working on some instruments-
is there some notation as WHAT instruments??( like RS in the repetion instruments) . i don't see it anywhere- ( using perf instuments only).

also im sure this was explained somewhere, why on the in legeto tool
itself the acutal function is labeled "repetion note"??

Hi,
as far as I know, the current version of the perf.tool doesn't support the release samples. If you want to add them, you will have to "keyswitch" manually.

Sorry for the missleading manual information.
The actual performance tool verion does not support release samples.
The are actually saved into all gigfiles to be compatible with the next tool version, which will support this feature.

There is also planned a release sample version for the performance repetitions, so this sample stuff will be much more flexibler in the future (so you can use the legato repetitions also as portato repetitions for example)

Some other planned features are

Multi Port functionality

Mode switching on one midichannel
(some users prefer to work with bank and programm switches to stay on one midichannel, especially for score orientated work -
therefore it would be helpful to have the option also switching the performance mode

and maybe a Polyphonic legato mode
(our chief developer, Chris Teuscher, has succesfully worked out some algorythms to make this feature possible)
