    Has anyone got a photo of the microphone placement for recording the Bosendorfer? What is distant? 1m or 25m What is close 1cm or 1m?

    sorry, we don't have any photos of the recording sessions.
    "Close" stands for the player-position, the microphones were placed between 15-50 cm above the strings, "Distant" stands for the listener-position and therefore the microphones were placed around 40-120cm above the pianobody and the strings. we used a mix of schöps- and akg-microphones, all in all 4 pairs of microphonesignals.
