  • little bug in Perf. tool?

Just a little thing, or is it just me [*-)] : in the repetition tool the 'chain mode' check-box status seems to get forgotten in a save, so that if it was on, the next time the tool's loaded it's unchecked (and chain mode is off).
Also, the input/output settings could be included in saves: at the moment, loading multiple performance tools results in all being set to the same midi in/out settings as the first that was loaded. A little strange... Would be nice if it would remember.

    That's all!

    Best wishes,

    Simon

  • uups, this _is_ a bug - i'll forward it to our programmer to have it fixed.
the remembering of midi-ports unfortunately cannot be implemented for the moment - this is on a to-do list for the next version
    thanks for reporting, christian

and remember: only a CRAY can run an endless loop in just three seconds.
  • I seem to lose a lot of notes when I use the performance tool. In other words, my polyphony count appears to drop.

  • sorry esperlad, this is not clear to me ....
loosing notes like something from the sequencer does not arrive at the speaker or decreased poly like crackles and similar.
please could you describe the *surrounding* a little bit?

  • Ugh, speaking of troubles... I started using the repetition samples today. Using them causes my giga PC to just reboot itself! This happens haphazardly too, one moment I can work 10 mins just fine, the next time it might happen after 10 secs already. Likelihood seems to increase if I set the auto off time somewhat low.

I've already checked for system errors, switched drivers, etc. This problem occurs on an Nforce 1 box as well as one with an Nforce 2 mobo. Both systems use a Terratec EWX 24/96.

Weird thing is that I never had any problems stressing these systems before, they can do 160 voices easily...

  • Chrisian,

I use Finale to play my music. I had assembled a piece of music using six staves. When I played the music, I was not hearing all of the parts. I had used the legato tool and the 'thru' tools. Everything was on their own MIDI channel.

When I played the parts without the performance tool. I heard all of the parts. I had selected alternate instruments (non-legato versions).

    Alles ist klar?

  • esperlad, just an idea: when routing through the performancetool you've disabled the midi-in port where the other way around finale is routed to?
otherwise probably not-ons and note-offs can wipe out each other.
