    I downloadet the newest Version of Vienna Instruments Installer for Intel Mac
    but if i try to install from DVD the following Lines are comming up:

    "The following licenses are neede to install this package:
    Special Edition Basic"

    What could this mean?

    Sounds like you have no licence on the dongle. You have registered and downloaded the licence from the Syncrosoft Licence Control Centre, haven't you?

    possibly the license control center itself is too old ...
    IMPORTANT: reboot before updating anything related to licenses - there have been some issues regarding permissions and running processes during the past weeks related to the UNIX-like behaviour of OS X

    and remember: only a CRAY can run an endless loop in just three seconds.

    Try putting the dongle in a different USB port. We had ours plugged into the keyboard and even though the litle red light came on it wasn't recognising it.

    We also had to download the latest Licence Centre, our exising Steinberg one didn't do it.
