    Vienna Instruments has been working fine for me for a while now, but recently I started it up and now the interface flickers constantly and I can't do anything. Cubase even locks up until I close the VI instance. The last time I used it was a few weeks ago and it worked fine then, and I can't think of anything that I changed on the system that might have caused the problem. The only new thing I got recently was another external HD. At first I thought something might be wrong with the syncrosoft key, but it still shows the licenses I have in the license utility program. Any ideas?

    Did you move or install any Vienna Instrument software or samples onto the new drive? Have you tried opening the VI in standalone mode, ie outside Cubase?

    welcome Rogles,
    the only occasion i saw such a behaviour was on a machine with 2 GB RAM, pagefile switched off and having already 1,5 GB memory used when trying to launch Vienna Instruments (stand-alone).
    any system deatils you could provide to get an idea where to start?

    Thanks guys.

    Well, after trying a bunch of things (usb port tests, stand alone mode, background programs, etc), I decided to reinstall it, and it works now. I did get a check disc error upon powering up the machine while I was trying to fix this. Perhaps that had something to do with it?
