  • Tchaikovsky - Piano Concerto I op23/3rd mov

I'm happy to announce another virtuos piano concerto excerpt.
Peter Ilyitch Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto I op23/3rd mov, masterful performed by Guy Bacos.

    thanks a lot Guy!

  • Boy, I'd give my right arm to be able to play the piano like that! Of course, then I'd only be able to do repertoire for the left hand like Ravel's concerto for left Hand. [:D]

The tempo is blistering-- do you actually perform it live this fast?

A very fine realization of a great piece!

    Best,
    Jay

  • Thanks Jay,

That is a standard speed for this mov if not faster! Some sections are not as difficult as they may sound but some are!

I boosted the piano more, the balance is MUCH better now.

That right arm joke is quite amusing! [[;)]]

  • An interesting thing about this 3rd mov, I'm very familiar with it, heard it hundreds of times, but when I did it from a score I found on the net I came across a section of a few pages a never heard before, it may of been a previous version by Tchaikovsky, I thought it sounded a bit dissonant for him and had to revise that section so many times to make sure I was playing the right notes.

  • Emm, I wouldn't mind getting your comments for the Tchaikovsky, good or bad, I could take it. [:)]

    Free doughnuts for all comments.

  • Hi Guy,

I listened to this and thought the performance was fantastic! I Loved it!
Your Piano performance, and, also the sound of the piano was wonderful.

Now, Guy, I did give you a good comment....so,...
The only trouble is, Australia is a bit too far to send a doughnut!....

    Steve [:D] [[;)]]
