    Hello,

    I am having a problem where there are multiple attacks on a single pizz. note where there should only be one attack. There is just one note in the track. And when I play that note on the keyboard, I hear only one attack. But on playback, there are multiple attacks and it sounds very sloppy.

    Has anyone else had this problem and found a fix?

    (Using VI, VA section, slow pizz. - Logic 7.2.3)

    Not sure whether you're referring to Orchestral or Chamber strings? The orchestral violins' and violas' slow pizzicatos have built-in 4-way alternation, so you never hear the same sample twice in a row. If you select the violins and play the F above Middle C four times, one of the samples has a unified, fairly tight attack, the other three samples' attacks are looser. That might explain why you're hearing a different sample on playback.

    The 'slow' pizzicatos attacks are designed to sound slightly loose. If you want a tighter attack, try the regular pizzicatos.

    Conquer, switching to regular (instead of slow) did the trick. Thanks.

    Still, what you play should be what you hear. Something else was going on, such as a MIDI loop.
