    Just wondered why no alto sax is included...

    For all of the big band work, it seems that it will be really difficult to achieve the Henry Mancini sound mentioned without it!!!

    What a shame!

    Still i cant wait to hear it

    Good point, but notice that the package is labeled Saxophones 1. Alto and Bari are coming. Also, the Mancini sound didn't come from the saxes. It comes from 8-part "jazz" harmony in the strings, plus 3-4 part harmony in the FHs with 3-4 part spread harmony in the low brass.

    True, but i have just completed a 70's funk album which included big band brass and i ended up hiring a big section, which needed alto, tenor bari bones and tpt and this type of section would be invaluable to me!

    I know that i am being selfish, but it would just be sooooooo good!
