    I'm unclear as to the crossgrade policy regarding the Pro Edition to the Symphonic Cube.

    My understanding is that the Cube, available in 2004, will contain all the material of the Pro Edition, as well as new, in both 16 and 24 bit.
    This being the case, might one be advised to wait on upgrading to the Pro from the 1st edition if, in fact, the library is being fully replicated in early 2004?

    If history is a judge, it will be cheaper to upgrade from the first edition to the pro and then to upgrade from pro to symphonic than it will to upgrade straight from first to symphonic. In other words they seem to reward people for jumping into VSL earlier rather than later. Of course I'd wait for official confirmation of this before buying.

    Peter is right, the Symphonic Cube will be special priced for First Edition users, and more "special priced" for Pro Edition users.
    We call it the VIP programm.

    Generally I would like to see a very flexible solution when we jump on the Symphonic Cube.
    There will be different Bit rates (16 or 24), different plattforms, and of course a very hugh content of samples.

    We plan to release it on hard drives.
    Hopefully we'll find a way to customize the product for individual wishes.
    Generally a hard drives would offer for us and for our users more flexibility.

    For example the purchase of both Bit rates should be possible, and the user only pays the extra hardware costs (larger hard drive).

    We didn't make any final desicions - generally it will be a good idea listening to our user wishes.

    Just stick em on a Larger Firewire HD, pack it in a box and ship it to your sitributors all nice and packaged. I think although it will be a first, it will be quickly accepted.

    With the right packaging I am not sure if you'd need to worry about platter-data loss. Firewire in ISO format for MAC/PC.
