  • Vienna Choral Library?

I was playing some of the performance instruments today, and something popped into my head: with the superb legato mode controlled by the Performance Tool, Herb and Company could pretty much record any sample and make it sound ultra-realistic.

With this in mind, might I suggest after the Pro Edition is completed, the "Vienna Choral Library?"

A library with a choir sampled the way the Orchestral Cube performance legatos were sampled (with all intervals between an octave up and down) would be an incredible virtual instrument. I have always been frustrated at the lack of realism with the current choir libraries (although Voices of the Apocalypse is the most impressive, IMHO).

So, what do you think, Herb? It would certainly keep you busy until well into 2004! [:D]

  • I was only thinking the exact same thing today. I am using the VSL a lot now, but also had to create a cue with choir patches. I yearned for the legato feel of what the VSL legato flute does: the VSL approach would be PERFECT for choir.

    How about it, Vienna??

  • I've been planning to do a solo voice lib for generic "layering" over existing choir libs. After VSL, I decided to make it use the VSL logato tool.

I was going to make it free, but maybe it'll be a nice $20 download.
