    This is a rather off the wall thread I guess, and should probably be at the very end of this forum, but I was wondering if someone at VSL could tell me about the awe-inspiring biggest gong (tam-tam) you used for the percussion. I have listened to the samples and they are HUGE. Was it that Paiste 80 inch $20,000 model? Being a gong-lover I wanted to buy it and hang it in my living room but for some reason couldn't finance the purchase.

    Hi William,

    our biggest recorded Tamtam was not made from Paiste. It is a Wu-Han with ca. 52 inch. In the next year (I hope) we are recording the Tamtam from Paiste which you want to buy.
