  • Install problems, no content available?

Sorry for being absolutely stupid, but I didn't find anything here or I really don't know what I am doing wrong.

I am on IntelMAC Pro and received my Chamber Strings incl the VI player today.
I activated everything on my Cubase dongle, registered, installed the newest software, installed the library ...

... but when I open up the player in standalone or as a vsti, I just see the interface and a big red x where the content should be.

Also by opening the directory manager I see nothing. The window is completely empty. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?

    Thanks a lot!

    Hi Alex,

you need to assign your content in the Directory Manager, so that the Vienna Instruments know where to find the samples.

Please open your Finder and drag your Chamber Strings folder into the Directory Manager.

Here is also a Video Tutorial on how to use the Directory Manager (and the other Tutorials might help a lot, too).

    Best,

    Paul

  • Hi Paul,

thanks a lot but it all didn't help ... however I was able to figure it out. I threw everything in the thrash bin, repaired the user permissions and reinstalled the library again. I guess the content install was useless, since I am convinced that the problem was to repair the user permissions ... kinda "known" problem on OSX as I heard.

    Thanks anyway [:)]
