Giga versus EXS24 for VSL

I use Gigastudio 2.5 on 2 different machines; one has 2000XP, the other Windows 98. Load times are sometimes near eternal on the 2000XP machine. Anyone else out there having similar hassles?

I'm thinking about the EXS24 as an alternative or addition to the VSL setup. Anyone any insights, advice or experience to share on that?

jrm1, usually i don't do that, but since this is the first massive crossposting (same thread in several forums) i'd like to ask not to do so - you will probably find also answers spread over some threads and a search with related keywords will show irritating results later and be less helpfull
