  • MIDI from score needed

    Hi,

I have a hand-written score that needs to become a MIDI file. If anyone is interested in a rather menial data-entry job (no orchestration, no VSL, just midi-fying). Only pitches, rhythms and meters needed (no dynamics or articulations). Here are the details:

    Score

Handwritten (easy to read, but not so great for OCR)
    200 measures in three movements (136, 40, 24 measures)
Only about 30 measures of tutti

    Instrumentation:

    Fl 1,2
    Ob 1,2
    Cl 1,2
    BN 1,2

    HN 1
    TPT 1
    TBN 1
PERC: Hihat, triangle, BD, SD, L tom, S tom, Maracas, Crash Cymb., Castanet, Susp. Cymb. Chinese Cymb.

    Harp

    NO STRINGS

    Payment

    $500 (50% in advance)
If completed within two weeks and with no errors: $100 bonus

The score has a lot of rests, doublings and repetitive figures, so a good amount of copy-and-paste activity could help you get this done rather quickly.

  • Is it possible to see the score or a part of it to get a feel for how easy it'll translate over to a program like finale?

  • Yes, I just scanned the score this morning. Here it is:

    40.5 Mb - http://www.fauxharmonic.com/music/Dialogs.pdf">http://www.fauxharmonic.com/music/Dialogs.pdf

  • I just want to let you know, the last beat of page 34 I believe is cut off on the scanned pdf.

If no one else replies in your needed timeline, I can probably do it. I don't have much experience in orchestration/notation so there's only a couple things I'd need to look up to make sure I know how to score (specifically the percussion and harp parts). The other parts would be no problem. Do all the parts need to look how they do on paper, or just need to sound like it on a midi file? For example, is ok to split up percussion into more tracks if needed?

  • I am interested in the work if it is still available. I've looked at the score and the requirements are no problem. Please PM or email me.
