VI Special Edition - Crossfade between tremolo and sustains

with vienna instruments, special edition
all string instruments show in the
patch assign page that they can crossfade
via mod.wheel between tremolo und sustain samples.
(3rd keyswitch program)
but, that will not work when i use my mod wheel.
any suggestions? i'd need that so much [:O]

Hi and welcome lordpreston,

the best way to switch between articulations is to use the Cell Xfade feature.

Please take a look at the Video Tutorials you find here, the Video is called "Stacking and Layering Patches". You also find these Video Tutorials on your Software CD [:)]

Here´s what you do in short: Load the sustain samples in the upper slot of one cell, the tremolos into the lower slot. Press the "X" Button that sits inbetween those slots and assign any MIDI controller to the Cell Xfade Slider you find on the "Perform" Page.
