  • VI re-installation problem

I recently put a new hard drive into my computer and moved my VI Woodwinds from the old drive top the new one. I cannot get the standalone player to find the woodwinds now. What do I need to do?

    THanks,

  • the magic word should be: directory manager http://vsl.co.at/en-us/68/375/243.vsl

  • Christian,

I had already tried using the directory manager and it totally screwed up everything! It shows only the Clarinet folder and the flute and bassoon ensemble folder when I open the standalone player. Then when I try to load a file it says "cannot find folder blah blah blah..." and lists all the wavs it cannot find!!!!!!!!!

I am going to try re-installing the DVDs again.

As always, I love VI's samples, but I hate the hassle of dealing with them, [:)]

  • probably you had a VI player open before and did not reboot or logoff/logon after moving the files and changing the paths in the directory manager - this is a caching issue.
