    Hello
    I've been watching with interest the community building up around the Lemur multi-touch screen interface (and the upcoming Dexter), but it seems to remain relatively small. There have been rumours flying around about apple developing a screen specifically for Logic (the upcoming version), and it seems that people are slowly picking up on the technology.
    However I'm yet to see or hear of any info regarding its integration with Vienna Instruments. I'm holding off to buy one but from what I understand it's fairly easy to program midi controls onto the screen- so what I think would be a real boost in the way people use vienna would be a control screen where you simply touch the cells in the matrix to switch between them, along with sliders etc for exp. and the other controls.
    Has anyone tried this or heard of anyone who's working on it??

    just for fun i've used a touchscreen (ELO 1024x76[H] to avoid having a (computer-)keyboard and mouse i a certain environment.
    though precision of this device is very good it turned up a series of controls had to be revised (fingertips and manner of touching of different people are so different) and entering characters and numeric values is not very easy sometimes.

    That's some cool technology. I can imagine the upcoming MIR being quite suitable for this kind of peripheral? Moving instruments around the stage, that kind of thing. To be honest I'm just trying to come up with reasons to justify buying one.. [;)]

    Whilst I love the idea of a touchscreen such as a Lemur, for me I can see a few problems with the way that I currently work. The great thing about keyswitches is that I don't have to look whilst I'm playing. With a touch screen this is not the case. However, I can see that for continuous controllers it could be great, especially for "drawing" in two at the same time.
